Directions:
Grease a 9″ x 13″ glass pan and preheat oven to 350°.
Brown the sausage in a large skillet and drain. Stir in half of the prepared country gravy and cayenne pepper.
Place muffin cubes in pan. Whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour over muffins.
Top with 1 cup of the cheese, then cover with sausage mixture.
Bake for 40-45 minutes until eggs are set. Cool for 5 minutes. Cut into squares and serve with additional gravy and shredded cheese.
- 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
- 2 packages peppered country gravy mix, prepared as instructed, divided
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 6 Village Hearth Plain English Muffins, cut into 3/4″ pieces
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
