Makes 6 burgers

In a medium bowl, combine turkey, barbecue sauce, onion, hot pepper sauce and garlic salt. Form into 6 patties. Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour or overnight.
Grill or broil burgers over medium heat for 4 – 5 minutes on each side or until internal temperature reaches 165°. Top each patty with a cheese slice during last two minutes of cooking time. Spread bun bottoms with barbecue spread, top with burger and remaining bun. Add toppings as desired.
- 1 1/2 pounds ground turkey
- 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/3 cup minced red onion
- 1 teaspoon hot red pepper sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 6 slices low-fat Swiss cheese singles
