- 2 tart apples
- 1 loaf Country Hearth Cinnamon Burst Bread
- 4 eggs
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup half and half
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Peel and core apples, cut into 1/2″ chunks. Cut bread into 1/2″ cubes.
In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, then add sugar, cinnamon, milk , half and half, and vanilla. Gently fold in apples and bread cubes.
Spray the insert of a large slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Pour in milk and bread mixture. Cook on low for 3 – 4 hours until set and apples are soft. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
