Mix milk, eggs, sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish. Dip bread slices into egg wash one piece at a time, coating both sides. Melt butter on non-stick griddle set on medium high heat. Grill toast on both sides until golden brown and lightly crisply. Top with blueberry sauce and a dollop of cream cheese topping.
Blueberry Sauce
- 6 eggs
- 1 ½ cups skim milk
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 8 slices Village Hearth Whole Grain White Bread
- Blueberry sauce (recipe follows)
- Cream Cheese Topping (recipe follows)

Add all ingredients in a medium sauce pan. Cook on medium heat until sugar melts and the sauce is thick and bubbly.
Cream Cheese Topping
- 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch, mixed with 2 tablespoons cold water
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Zest of 1 lemon (about 1 tablespoon)
